The office is located inside the departures/arrivals terminal of Aosta Valley Airport, about 3 km from the Aosta train station and the city centre.
To make car and van hire in Aosta Airport more convenient, Enterprise Rent-A-Car has set up a branch in the main terminal building in Loc Les Iles 13. The rental counter is open throughout the day, but if your flight arrives outside opening hours, you can arrange car key collection in advance. Self-service is also available for car drop-offs.
The airport is located in Saint Christophe, which is essentially one of Aosta’s eastern suburbs. The distance between the airport and Aosta’s city centre is 5 kilometres, and travel time is very manageable at 10 minutes. From the airport, you only need to exit the parking area, turn left and follow the signs for Aosta along Grand Chemin Road.
Aosta Airport is a small transportation hub mostly used by charter airlines during the summer season. The main destinations are Sardinia, Southern Italy, Greece and the Balearic Islands. Local travel agencies also offer organised tours to Thailand, Japan, the United States and Canada, all departing from Aosta Airport.
The airport serves the city of Aosta and the surrounding Alpine valleys, which are popular all year round since they offer world-class skiing in the winter and excellent hikes and adventure sports during the rest of the year. The city of Aosta has a well-preserved historical centre where the main highlights are the Roman walls and the amphitheatre. Securing a car hire in Aosta Airport allows you to explore the Aosta Valley, which is dotted with medieval castles and spectacular views of the Italian Alps, especially on the drive to Gran Paradiso National Park.
Rental conditions apply to all additional drivers. An additional driver surcharge is applicable to each additional driver at a rate of 5.00 EUR per day exclusive of VAT and airport/railway fees (where applicable).
Customer must park the vehicle in the Enterprise parking area in a safe and correct position, apply the mileage and the fuel level on the copy of the rental agreement then bring the keys to the location and drop them into the drop-off box which is located in the vicinity of the rental counter together with the contract paper copy. In case of accident, the customer is required to provide a written report detailing how the accident happened and the information of all parties involved. This report must be dropped into the drop box together with the keys and the contract. Late customers: the car will be kept available up to a maximum of 59 minutes after the booking time. For airport bookings, flight number is required to preserve the car availability up to a maximum of 59 minutes after landing time and in any case no later than 1.00 am (after closing time an out of hour fee of 30 EUR per rental - excluding VAT and airport and or rail fees where applicable - will be applied).
AGE REQUIREMENTS — YOUNG DRIVERS
Mini to Economy car groups are available to renters aged 19 years and above.
Compact and Intermediate car groups and cargo vans are available to renters aged 21 years and above.
Full Size vans and Standard car groups are available to renters aged 25 years and above.
Luxury car groups are restricted to renters aged 27 years and above.
A young driver's fee of 22.00 EUR, excluding VAT and airport/railway fees (where applicable), applies to renters aged 19 to 21 years.
A young driver's fee of 11.00 EUR, excluding VAT and airport/railway fees (where applicable), applies to renters aged 22 to 24 years.
The young driver's fee does not apply to renters aged 25 years or older.
There is no maximum age limit to rent in Italy.
On completion of the booking, it is recommended to carefully check the local Terms and Conditions.
Vehicles can be driven in all the countries of the European Union, plus Norway, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. No additional charges apply for cross-border travel. Prior authorisation to leave the country with the vehicle is not required. Returning the vehicle in another country without prior authorisation will incur a penalty charge of 2,000 EUR plus VAT and surcharges. A penalty of 15.00 EUR and an administration fee of 6.10 EUR will be applied per tolls/traffic violation.
Damage Waiver (DW) is included in the reservation. It reduces the costs associated with damage of the vehicle subject to the terms and conditions of your rental agreement.
The applicable excess amounts are:
Mini and Economy: 1,200 EUR
Compact Manual: 1,500 EUR
Compact Automatic and Estate, Compact SUV, Intermediate, Standard Estate: 1,700 EUR
Passenger Van and Luxury Estate Car: 2,000 EUR
Short-wheelbase cargo vans: 1,900 EUR
Medium- and long-wheelbase cargo vans: 2,300 EUR
Special cargo vans: 3,600 EUR
In cases of driver negligence, or violation of applicable laws or road regulations of the country in which the vehicle is being driven, CDW coverage is invalid. In these cases, the renter will incur the entire financial loss suffered by the lessor.

All rentals where the vehicle is not returned to the same location as pick-up will be subject to a one-way fee. Domestic and international one-way rentals are permitted to selected locations and must be pre-booked or authorised at the time of pick-up. The one-way fee varies based on car category, location and pick up date. The exact amount of the one-way fee will be displayed during the reservation process when entering the dates, desired route and car category.
All vehicles are delivered with a full tank of petrol and must be returned in the same condition. If the vehicle is returned with less than a full tank, in addition to petrol shortage an extra charge of 35.00 EUR plus railway or airport fees and VAT for refueling service will apply.
ACCEPTED CREDIT CARDS
The following credit/debit cards are accepted: American Express, MasterCard, Visa and UnionPay. Maestro, Bancomat, pre-paid or rechargeable cards are not accepted. For Luxury car groups, only credit cards will be accepted. The card must be in the main driver's name and must have enough available credit limit to cover the deposit amount.
ACCEPTABLE METHODS OF PAYMENT
All major credit cards/debit cards are accepted, as well as vouchers. Cash is not accepted.
DEPOSITS
All customers are required to place a deposit, taken in the form of a credit card/debit card. The deposit is based on an excess amount of 400 EUR and 100 EUR for fuel. Purchasing "Don't Worry Coverage" will result in a lower deposit. The deposit of 500 EUR applies to all customers, except to those who purchase the "Don't Worry Coverage" package with the total deposit amount set at 100 EUR.
Roadside Plus (RSP) includes a 24-hour emergency service and is handled by our chosen service provider on our behalf. This optional product ensures free car towing in case of a breakdown or accident.
Roadside assistance is also available without the purchase of "Roadside Plus". The tow-track service will be charged according to the renter's special conditions for each service rendered.
Even if they purchase Roadside Plus, customers are responsible for the cost of the towing if the breakdown or accident is due to driver negligence or wilful misconduct.
"Roadside Plus" (RSP) is an optional product. Before purchasing RSP, it is advisable to determine if the renter's personal coverage is adequate. If RSP is declined, the renter will be required to pay these charges and seek compensation though their carrier of personal coverage. RSP is not insurance.
RENTER REQUIREMENTS
DRIVING LICENCE REQUIREMENTS. A valid driving licence held for a minimum of one year is mandatory. The driving licence must be valid for international use; otherwise the national licence must be fully translated by an embassy or by an equivalent authority and must be readable in Latin characters. The photo is mandatory and must be accompanied by a document of identity, always readable in Latin characters, where the home address is indicated. The national licence, the translation and the passport must be under the same name and must be produced at the same time.
CUSTOMER QUALIFICATION. In the event that the customer does not have the proper requirements for qualification, including in particular: 1. Does not have a credit/debit card in his name 2. Attempts to provide an Electron card, Maestro, Bancomat, prepaid and/or rechargeable cards 3. The credit/debit card does not cover the deposit and the cost of any additional services; 4. Is not in possession of a valid driving licence for at least one year 5. Does not have a valid driving licence for international use (for foreign citizens) 6. Is less than 19 years (the minimum age for driving) or has booked a car group not compliant with the company rental age policy. 7. Refuses to provide address and availability details 8. Refuses to provide home's address and e-mail address NO REFUND WILL BE DUE ON THE BOOKING; eventual prepaid amounts will be retained as penalties. Enterprise always reserves the right - at its sole discretion - to ask for a second credit card or to decline the rental when the guarantees offered by the customer are not considered sufficient, or any other major issues make the customer not eligible for rental.
Upon the United Kingdom leaving the European Union (EU) the requirements for UK driving licence holders driving in EU member states may change. Please check requirements before travelling. Government advice may be found at https://www.gov.uk/driving-abroad.
There is a requirement in certain parts of Italy from November to April to have snow chains in the vehicle or to have winter tyres installed on the vehicle. This requirement applies regardless of the current weather conditions. Before you pick up your car, please check if your travel route is subject to this regulation. Visit the websites of POLIZIA DI STATO or AUTOSTRADE for more information. Standard snow chains or textile snow chains will be provided without any additional cost in all locations from 15th November until 15th April. Throughout the year, excluding the period from 15th November until 15th April, snow chains/textile snow chains will be available on request with an additional cost of 4 EURO per day, Airport and or Railway fees where applicable and VAT included up to a maximum of 32 EURO per rental. A 100 EUR fee will be charged for lost or damaged snow chains year round.
Vehicles equipped with winter tyres may be available at the time of rental for an additional fee, please ask staff when you show up to pick up the rental vehicle.
