What are your driving licence requirements for car hire France?
All drivers must present a valid driving licence held for more than one year (digital driving licences are not accepted). The driving licence must be valid, written in Roman characters or accompanied by its official translation, or an international licence that is less than 3 years old.
Driving in France with a foreign licence is permitted for one year after the first date of entry indicated on the visa for a licence issued in a non-EC member state. Driving in France with a foreign licence issued by an EC member state is permitted indefinitely.
An international driving licence (valid for a maximum of three years) must be accompanied by a national driving licence.
